Requirements

Develop a logo that can speak/represent/brand creative services that will evolve. The brand will eventually be used for both print and web initiatives.

Communication Design & Business Objectives

Initial service offering will include memoir writing and presentation of the materials in a meaningful way.

The word amphora essentially means ‘to carry’. It is a type of ceramic vase which has two handles on either side.

I wanted to develop a wordmark that could stand alone if need be but also accompany type. Things i wanted to convey in the logo were:

  • holder of trust
  • holder of life
  • carrier of responsibility
  • take an old thing (amphora) and make it new
  • style
  • the 2 mirrored a’s make up the amphora wordmark
  • the tall x-height of the letters reflect both high style and stability
