Resolve Conflicts Between Employees
You walk into the lunchroom and hear a heated argument between two employees, Jian and Vonne. There has been tension between the two of them for the past few days. Earlier in the week you spoke with another employee who indicated that Jian and Vonne were at a mutual friend's party on the weekend and got into an argument. As this incident was not work-related, you initially felt it was up to them to work it out. However, now they refuse to work together and the tension between them is making everyone uncomfortable.
You decide to resolve the conflict and hold a meeting on Friday afternoon with both employees. [Determine the best time to address the problem.]

| Supervisor: | Vonne and Jian, I would like to discuss the tension between the two of you and the impact it is having on others in the department. [Determine the nature and extent of the problem.] |
| Vonne: | The issue is between Jian and me. |
